PMETs

With the PMETs needs in mind, the P-Max@WAF programme creates a training experience that will enhance participants' learning and most importantly, to have fun while at it.

Newly hired PMETs will be required to attend a total of 2 days of training. PMETs will be accompanied by their direct supervisors on Day 1 of the training programme to achieve the required synergy between both parties for optimal teamwork and results.

Do I Qualify?

PMETs will need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for WSG funding support:
  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who is keen to pursue a fulltime career in an SME;

  • Possess educational qualifications that are Diploma or higher, or employed/have prior work experience in a PMET position;

  • Graduated1 or completed National Service for at least one year, whichever is later.

  • Hired within the last three months4 (i.e. 90 days) prior to enrolment into programme, with a gross monthly salary of at least $2,500.

  • Must not be connected to the P-Max participating company as follows:

    a. Shareholder of P-Max company or its related companies2;

    b. Related to the owners3 of the P-Max company;

    c. Immediate ex-staff of the P-Max company or related entities.

Note:

1 The intent of this requirement is to filter out individuals who are fresh out of Pre-Employment Training (‘PET’) system (e.g. fresh graduates who have not joined the workforce). The one year will be counted from the date of graduation, or date of completion of national service, whichever is later. For clarity, the national service period will not count towards meeting the one year requirement.

2 This does not apply to shareholders who hold publicly traded shares in listed companies.

3 For non-publicly listed companies, refer to individuals with shareholding per ACRA profile.

4 The three months eligibility of the PMET is based on prior SME enrolment into the programme and not the workshop date to be attended.
